EL PASO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Hector R. Puente, El Paso Electric's (NYSE:EE) Senior Vice President of
Operations and Distribution, has been promoted to Senior Vice President
and Chief Operations Officer for EPE. In his new position, Puente will
oversee power generation, transmission and distribution, system
operations, power marketing, fuels and generation planning for EPE.
Puente, who has worked at EPE for more than 30 years, has served in
various capacities, including Vice President of Transmission and
Distribution, Vice President of Distribution Operations and Vice
President of Generation, as well as other executive, management and
engineering positions. Puente holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in
Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso and is a
licensed professional engineer.
