El Paso Electric Issues its 2010 All-Sources Request for Proposals

El Paso Electric (EPE) issues its All-Sources Request for Proposals (RFP) on June 14, 2010. EPE seeks supply-side, including renewable energy resources, and/or demand-side proposals to meet its load requirement in 2015. EPE will consider low-cost and reliable electric power supply and load management capacity resources that best meet its need of up to 300 MW by May 1, 2015. EPE will consider meeting its load requirement through a combination of dispatchable supply-side and demand-side resources proposed in response to this RFP. EPE encourages all interested supply-side and demand-side resource providers to participate in its RFP process.

A “Notice of Intent to Bid”, Attachment 8.1 of the RFP, should be submitted by 5 p.m. MST on June 22, 2010.
